What lives in a pond? Join us for an exploration and observation of the many creatures that make their home in a pond. Pond sampling materials will be provided. Please wear long pants and appropriate footwear for mud and water. We will meet at the Schectady Pine Barrens Preserve trailhead on Gifford Road in Schenectady and then walk approximately one mile stopping to sample from the pond.

Directions to Woodlawn Preserve from the Discovery Center:
Go straight through the traffic light in front of the Discovery Center onto Old State Road. At the stop sign turn right onto Kings Road. Drive on Kings Road for 4.3 miles. Turn right onto McDonald Avenue and then right onto Gifford Road.
